Reflection on My Learning Journey
This course pushed me in ways I didn’t expect. At the beginning, I saw communication as something simple—just speaking or presenting information. But over time, I realized it’s much deeper than that. It’s about confidence, self-awareness, and understanding how others perceive you.
One of the biggest takeaways for me was learning how to manage anxiety, especially during presentations. Public speaking has always been something I struggled with, and I’ve had moments in the past where I completely froze. This course didn’t magically remove that fear, but it helped me understand it and work through it. Practicing, preparing properly, and focusing on the message instead of myself made a huge difference.
Another important thing I learned was self-management. I started paying attention to how I handle stress, time, and responsibilities. I realized that small habits—like planning ahead or breaking tasks into smaller steps—can make a big impact.
Group work also taught me patience and adaptability. Not everyone communicates or works the same way, and learning to adjust to different personalities is a skill I’ll carry forward.
Overall, this course wasn’t just about communication—it was about personal growth. I feel more aware of myself, more confident in expressing my ideas, and better prepared for real-life situations, both academically and professionally.
